Really good portrait of a lovely looking dog, and you've made such a good job of the blanket with the dog really pushing down into it and not just sat on it. Beautifully done Heather.

You may have gathered by now how drawn I am to animals - dogs in particular. This is FABULOUS ! A masterfully painted canine, blossoming with character. There's the sense of focus/depth-of-field which adds the finishing touch! Love it!

Im so glad to see a work of yours heather and I wish I could leave 1000 comments after all the supportive words youve given me on my paintings. The first thing that struck me was the almost elongated manner in which youve painted this lovely dog and it reminds me a bit of mannerism such as el greco.

This is Billy my son's girlfriend's sister dog. Typical of the breed, he's a comfort king. I was really attracted to him in his blanket as much because of his expression as I was with the curves and shapes of his blanket. 50 x 40 oil painting

Heather Love

I started to paint in 2018 . I started with acrylics and now use only oils and mainly canvas on board. Most of my portraits are 38 cms x 60 cms or thereabouts. Am still on a big learning curve but really enjoying the process and discovering new techniques very step of the way! I go to art class…
