Anne Fletcher

Biography

I left school in 1956 with "O" levels including Art, which I'd really enjoyed. Work and family life, meant that it wasn't until the 1980s that I started painting again, mainly in watercolour. I went to various classes and joined art clubs when moving to different parts of the country. I currently enjoy pen drawing, line and wash and gouache. I find Watercolour a challenge though I keep trying from time to time. I use my own photos as reference but using "artistic licence". (I am quite good at moving trees or ugly signs - all part of the fun!) Old buildings, landscapes, seascapes, trees and flowers are my favourite subjects.
