I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years ago. My favourite subjects are landscape, rusty vehicles , ships and boats but I do try anything that interests me . I don’t get out to paint as much as I would like , so I use my own photos of resources off the internet. For the last five years or so I have held workshops for the National Trust as a means of fund raising, all held at Hughenden Manor such a superb place to work . Finding POL has and is great as it give me the opportunity to chat to people and display my artwork , I also like to do Work In Progress on the forum though it feels a bit like showing off.
