I think the colour works well, and the detail is great.

An impressive elephant Paul and you’ve captured the way they lift their feet just right.

A most majestic elephant and impressive elephant Paul. I love the details on his skin.

Always like a good elephant

Looks good to me Dixie. Don’t think you’ve overdone it.

Thank you all for your lovely comments I’m genuinely grateful I was not expecting such nice comments. Like a lot of us I can only see the bits I’m not happy with I know it’s something we all do with our own work at time .

It's a very impressive elephant, Paul and interesting fact about the red dust. Super work!

Thank you Fiona , they are so big , gentle and very vulnerable , unfortunately killed fir their tusks only. I cannot understand why you would want to shoot just for the sake of saying I’ve shot and elephant here is my photo with the dead elephant ai t I such a great shot . Sorry getting carried away with the frustration I feel when I think about it.

I like your elephant very much Paul!

Thank you Diane for your lovely comment.

Your elephant looks really good Paul, a lovely painting

Lovely majestic elephant Paul.

This is beautiful Paul and I share all your thoughts on elephants and the tragedy of what is happening to them. I love them- they are such magnificent creatures and it breaks my heart that horrible humans kill them. We don’t deserve them.

Julie thank you for your kind comment and sharing your thoughts.

Thank you Alexandra for you kind comment.

A4 watercolour of a bull elephant covered in red dust , elephant do this to protect their skin and get rid of parasites. I overworked this by using to much of the red oxide colour then I tried to recover it but I don’t think I have successfully done so , one friend thinks it looks far go red and need more grey another thinks it awe inspiring. Personally in not happy with it but think it has a few good points, useful lesson learned.
