Alan, you’re right….as usual…..I am putting more time in to looking, seeing and planning, rather than just waving my brush about in a Tally ho manner! Lol. Great coast painting, really like the spray and splashes of blue.

Carole, Lewis, John, David, Heather, Shaun, Tessa, Denise, Stevan, I really appreciate you taking the time to look and comment, thank you very much. Marjorie, the boards are super to paint on, have you tried them, you probably have, I’m always slow at trying different stuff. This 16x12 size fits in my rucksack with the paintbox and paints, I’m going to get some of the larger size boards for the winter, for studio stuff. Alan B put me on to them. I was over at Sandhead today but the sea was a bit calm, in fact it was hardly moving, the tide was on the way out. Come and visit the Isle of Whithorn to do some painting, there are two headland views which are fabulous this time of year from the old watch tower on the point. Davy is doing a summer school at the Isle in September for a week. Thanks very much for commenting Marjorie.

Thank you very much David. Chris, many thanks appreciate your comment. They take an age don’t they! As always Michael, you are very generous to me…..thank you. Now you’ve asked….I am almost sure it’s Old Holland blue-grey thinned down with a little turps. The blue colour is scrubbed on top of a dry Old Holland burnt umber undercoat, which is showing through the blue to some extent. The cloudy bits are Michael Harding’s warm white, it’s kind of buff colour. Thanks very much Chrissie!
