Biography

I am an amateur artist. I started drawing in 1993 when my husband bought me a £2.50 book on how to draw. I had just lost my horse after 24 years and needed a distraction. I was earning my living, believe it or not, pressing flowers and selling my work at craft shows. In time I introduced a little bit of painting in to my work which proved popular. In time I got another horse and gave up the craft business and the art took a back step. Now I am retired and am getting back in to painting, I mainly do pets for friends and friends of friends, and flowers. I attend a local art group and we exhibit annually. I work on trying to paint loosely and avoiding fiddling too much, not always successfully. Taking off my reading glasses helps!
