I realise the term turn over a new leaf is significant to turning the page of a book but, I suppose it can be interpreted as a new page, a new start. I hope your new start and new year, brings you belief in yourself and those that count, together with peace, health and ………lots of inspired works of art in 2024!

Lovely leaf drawn with sensitivity as the leaves are fallen remnants showing us the beauty and grace from the tree , likened to a gift too! When I happen to spot and view fallen leaves they seem to signify a kind of sheer delight and artistic symbol of continuity! Wishing you inspiration in Art this new year Fiona, and wonder too!

Graphite, a little watercolour. This didn’t turn out quite as I intended, do they ever! This ghostly imprint of a leaf was captured in the ice on the window, I haven’t managed to capture the diffused effect of looking through the ice to the wood beyond, difficult in graphite. A very Happy and Healthy New Year to you all and my ever grateful thanks for your kindness and encouragement to do better, throughout the year. Wishing you all success in everything you do! X
