16” x 12” oil on Belle Arti canvas board. I painted this in watercolour about 14 years ago and wondered, in that time, if I had learnt anything about painting. Had an idea about sifting through some of my old paintings and perhaps re-jigging them…..maybe improve, or not, the outcome. This is my friends croft house on the north west coast, (Scotland) behind the shrubs on the right and a 150yard walk, is the Minch! The original had lots of snow, a few sheep and I’ve moved the track.
