Under The Tree

Full of energy, Fiona. You are so good at mark making.

Thanks very much Marjorie, I do like to have a good Scribble. I forgot to add that there is a wee bit of collage in this as well. Top right corner but you can’t see the join, I should have been a surgeon. I managed a couple of sketches, I’ll post the other one at some point. They are similar but do have differences.

Certainly nature in the wild.

This is great Fiona, almost abstract which appeals to me a lot.

Love your adventurous spirit Fiona and the order within the chaos.

Very strong image looking semi abstract.

Lovely painting Fiona, it's amazing what we can find in our gardens.

Lewis, Katy, Carole, Val, Lesley thank you very much for you kind comments, much appreciated.

Awesome drawing Fiona

I love this Fiona, it inspires me the way you put it all together.

Love the semi abstract nature of this, Fiona, with its bold marks and colours.

I really like this painting, you have done a lovely job.

Great energy and lovely use of colour and tone - really good Fiona.

Wonderful mark making.

Great colour and I love the abstract style.

Great work Fiona, what a terrific interpretation.

I like this very much -this has worked really well, Fiona!

Many thanks to everyone for the great feedback, very grateful for you taking the time to look and comment.

I almost missed this beauty, Fiona. Lovely semi-abstract with beautiful bright colours. Love it!

I love the freedom of this and the energy and colour too. Composition works as well.

Thank you ladies, you are very kind. X

Great colours and love the abstract feel Fiona, some interesting marks there too.

I can spy a little face smack in the middle :)

I see it Carole, she has a yellow flower behind her ear! Well spotted, I hadn’t noticed it before you mentioned it. Thank you.

Like the mark making and the strong colours Fiona

Thank you very much Maureen.

Good semi-abstract feel, fiona.

Many thanks Cesare.

Oh wow what a stunner Fiona

Thanks Dennis!

Like this Fiona for your strong use of minimal colour and the composition of this small piece that gives off so much energy along with the semi abstract nature of the work .

Graham thank you for your very generous comment. I must admit to being a fan of limited palettes, not just because I like the look of them but in my case.....using too many colours just confuses me!

I just love the way you represent nature. It’s interesting and makes me want to examine it.

12”x12” mixed media on scrap watercolour paper. Haven’t wandered far for a subject today, just the corner of the garden because, yes, it’s been raining for a change! The tree is a Cottoneaster with wonderful shaped branches, but what caught my attention, were the bright yellow dashes of the leaves of a Blackthorn that has seeded itself there.
