I'm always attracted by colour in artwork, and these autumn colours are superb. You've captured the way leaves curl and decay brilliantly when they've been on the ground for a while.

You have captured a sense of autumnal leaves and the way they sometimes twist and bend as they dry out. Nice colours too.

A 23x36 cm watercolour of autumn leaves. I will use this as a example for a workshop I’m leading in October. A very slow process of painting this one it was painted in very short session when I was was feeling able to concentrate due illness. Not to sure if I like it or not but I wanted some different styles to use t the workshops the others are more loose and traditional looking.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
