A very good drawing Paul, and thanks for the comment you posted on my drawing of a portrait. Your name suggests you may be from Liverpool as Dixi played for Everton and also for Tranmere Rovers back in the 1930's. I'm from Birkenhead. Carry on with the pencil work Paul.

Thank you Romila, Richard and Tom for your comments. Tom the nickname Dixie doe indeed come from the great footballer. However it is often used in the RAF for someone named Dean. I’m a Yorkshire man by birth, my father was from Cheshire and before me served in the RAF, family tradition by job and nickname.
