Beautiful Alan, I love the effect you have got with using Mountford. It's a favourite view of mine too!

This is clean and tidy, Alan, a lovely piece of work. Roland Hilder is a favorite artist of mine. I look forward to reading your article in the Artist.

Lovely in its simplicity and execution Alan. Very wall worthy.

Original style of painting of an iconic landmark - I wonder how many times the windmill has been painted.

Watercolour sketch with ink and body colour on mountboard 7x10in. This quintessentially English corn mill (unfortunately now residential), has been a source of inspiration for artists over generations. Not too surprising given its location and early history. I’m writing a feature for The Artist taking a look at Rowland Hilder’s style of working (June 2023 edition), he’s painted this view many times.
