Great interpretation Alan, love this style I find the contrasts very appealing.

So many different views...works well Alan.

Love your interpretation Alan - works very well.

It's a great contribution to the challenge Alan, your very own distinctive style, love it 😁

Nice work Alan. Breathing space it has.

You have a very recogniseable style and I always enjoy your beautiful paintings. The light on the roofs and smattering of snow on the top right bring this alive Alan.

Great interpretation Alan full of life

That’s great, Alan. Love the limited palette.

It has depth, love the composition , the way you painted those pine trees, Alan.

Great work Alan, those ‘snowy’ highlights are just brilliant.

And your own thing is really spectacular, as usual, Alan! Really love the composition and that wonderful wintry atmosphere, with the contrasting touch of warmth of the cabins. I also love the immediacy and liveliness of the penwork.

Love this stylish version, Alan, in your distinctive style.

Wow, Alan. This is something completely different. Beautiful original composition. Love the scenery and the limited colour palette.

Wow Alan you have painted a wonderful challenge piece! There has been such a variety of the theme and it's good that so many have had a go😄

Well, you did it and it certainly looks good Alan. Now I'll have to have another go at this challenge as I didn't take it seriously when I first saw it. The original hut didn't have that spark for me to paint from but your landscape is a super result!

Nice interpretation Alan, it's given me the incentive to get my effort done.

Nice one Alan, I feel slightly guilty for not joining in but everyone else who had a go did really well.

Worth waiting for Alan! I like the use of toned paper and your highlighting.

Love it Alan. Nice take on this challenge.

Good interpretation, Alan.

Lovely cool interpretation, Alan

I like the opened up landscape Alan, fab highlights and excellent ink work!

Lovely, good interpretation

Just beautiful Alan, love this version too. The challenge really stretched you all!

I like your interpretation very much Alan, especially those wonderful dark trees.

At last! my attempt at the challenge. I’ve focused more on the landscape to give the whole thing some breathing space and to get away from the single cabin. Not much resemblance to the original, but I read it as more or less ‘do your own thing’. Strathmore A4 200lb Toned Gray paper using acrylic ink and white gouache.
