It is a lovely composition Carole. Apart from the Indian ink bits, it turned out great.

really strong and energetic picture

It worked out well Fiona

Looks fine Fiona, I like the way you have scrumbled the pastel

It has an energy Fiona. It must be that iron.

Beautiful experiment, Fiona. Especially with the iron!

Agree with previous comments, Fiona, it's strong and energetic.

New subject for you, Fiona, and new success.

Great shapes and colours Fiona, lots of energy and I love the touch of purple in it.

I like it... the underpainting looks fine and I do think this style of work has so much going for it, full of vitality, well done F.

Wow, a piece that packs a punch. Very stark, yet full of dramatic impact. Really nice work, Alan!

Sorry, Fiona! I was just reading Alan's comment on your painting. It's obviously too late at night out here!

A very busy working place, dynamically captured Fiona.

I like it fiona, I love the idea and I can see colours in it that could play with it and it would be a great acrylic painting too..marvellous.

well gypsy rose lee with earings something totally different lovely mark making deserves a big hug

Definitively yours Fiona, well done!

Symbolistic, semi abstract ? , very different Fiona, but a real statement and makes an impact, you know what I think about your usual type of work and for reasons I can't explain I quite like this as well, it still includes your mark making, nice one.

I agree entirely Henry, it looks as though the paper is stained or greasy and doesn't add anything to it at all. Might look okay on a different paper but not on this one....thanks very much for your observation, appreciate it.

Many thanks Annabel, Malcolm, David, John & Mia.....wish my linen would press as well as this did...lol Thanks very much Jenny, Cesare, Val and Alan.....thought you would like it a little bit Alan, I know you like this kind of subject.

That's okay Seok, I've made the same mistake myself...thanks very much, on behalf of myself and Alan! Thank you Carole, Alan, David...lol, I didn't 'see' that coming, and a hug! X Thanks Satu and Gudrun, I seem to be going a bit mad with these pastels! Symbolistic, semi abstract?? A mess more like Malcolm...lol I don't know what came over me. I shall, just for you, do one of my usual type of pictures in the next couple of days. I'm going to Caerlaverock castle and wetland reserve tomorrow, hopefully something will inspire me to get my pen and ink out. Thank you very much for your lovely comment Malcolm.

What's an iron Fiona? I don't iron nowadays - too busy painting; Love industrial scenes and this has turned out great.

Great marks, Fiona! Steady on with the iron though!!! xx

Adele, you don't iron??? I love ironing, I think it's my streak of OCD.....I iron everything, well not socks of course. Thanks very much. Thank you Jennifer....I'll try!

Pastel & charcoal on sugar paper. I did a diluted under wash of Indian ink over some parts of the paper......it didn't like that! Cockled something terrible, had to threaten it with the iron. No specific buildings or items, just messing around with shapes and marks really.
