Goodness me, thank you all so much for your wonderful comments, I’m very grateful. As I was doing this I felt awkward, I think because I haven’t done one for a while, I just knew I would mess it up! Lol. I can see one or two places I could have done better…..that righthand bank for a start, it doesn’t look very natural at all, and now I can’t see past it! Thank you again x

Wish I was ax rusty as this Fiona, stop doubting yourself it’s a fine painting and no one would have thought about the bank at all. It’s has your beautiful washes in there and the added pen just lifts it into a different level. You need a nice dark mount around it and framed on the wall . So so good be proud of it , it’s certainly your style .

Nothing rusty about this Fiona. Love the pallette and the composition like everybody else. Superb.

Beautiful wintry scene Fiona and no rust showing! As you say you could perhaps do a little more to the right bank area but I probably only noticed because you pointed it out! I do love the left bank and use of greys.

Thanks Tessa…..I’m warming up for winter scenes….lol. The bank is too uniformed in the shapes I think, something learned for next time!

Lol…..if I don’t keep up with watercolour it takes me a couple of goes to get back in to it Brian. Amount of water to amount of paint, how wet how dry….when you do it all the time that part is instinctively. Thank you for your lovely comment.
