Like this one, like the way the sheep lead you in !!

Very well painted Paul, I like the way you handled the sheep! The trees are super, altogether a very good painting.

I like this a lot. It makes me think of the Lake District.

Excellent watercolor Paul.

I saw you starting this on the forum Paul. It’s worked out so well. A very successful painting.

A classy piece of work Paul. All good, but I agree with the others…you paint trees so well.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Trees are one of my favourite things to draw and paint, think it’s because I spent so long working in the woods, our landscape would be lost without trees in the hedgerows etc .

Another beautiful painting, Paul! I must also comment on your trees which are superb as usual!!

Gooding forward in leaps and bounds, great composition and colour Paul

It's hung around well Paul!

A lovely scene of traditional country life, Paul - enhanced by your always excellent trees!

Beautiful, Paul. Tolkien created Treebeard - but you are creating the trees to live. 🌳

Lovely work Paul

Thank you all for your comments I appreciate them , so encouraging.

Most impressive Paul, a lovely pastoral landscape…

Alan, Faye , Denise , Russell and Lynda thank you I really appreciate you comments .

I like the way the shepherd and his sheep are leading us into the landscape Dixie, and the painting has a feeling of calm and tranquility.

Another lovely calm landscape, you certainly got the sheep sussed Paul. Like the contrasting red coat too.

Thanks Tessa and Sandra I appreciate your comments.

A lovely watercolour, and the tree I like very much -it's so well painted.

Great trees and interesting composition. Makes me want to explore down the left hand path.

Thank you David , I like it when people think what’s around the corner or down that lane to me it means I have told a story and people want the next chapter .

A4 watercolour, imaginary scene use reference photo ps for the buildings and sheep put them together to make the scene. Process of painting this one is on the forum, always worth looking on there to see what’s going on. This painting is one that been hanging around for a while along with a couple of others awaiting the enthusiasm to finally finish it off.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
