Trees or spooky dancing spirits. Like the intriguing scene.

Thanks Martin , trees do take on some weird shapes and can often look like a person , especially in misty dull weather .

This is excellent Paul.

Very impressive Dixie but hopefully no snow yet at least!

This medium and paper is suiting you really well ... l great gnarly trees

Good one Paul. Great subject, the weird shapes turn it into a narrative image…you can make up your own story .

Excellent use of the pastel Paul and good pen work.

Great trees, they remind of Arthur Rackham's drawings

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am really enjoying using the pen and pastel , mostly done in the evening at the dining table, fid it extremely relaxing. Rackham is one of my favourites , his trees are stunning.

Wonderful twists and turns in that tree Paul. Hope the snow doesn’t come too early.

Pen, pastel and toned paper used to great effect. A very pleasing result.

This is terrific Paul……love your tree!

Carole ,James and Fiona thank you for your comments they are appreciated, it was after reading of the possibility of light snow on high ground that I did this one .

Wonderful Paul with all its twists and turns.

Another wonderful tree !!

Thanks Denise , it’s based on a tree I used to sit near to have my lunch etc when I worked in the woodland, sadly destroyed by a contractor a while ago .

Thanks Valerie we we’re posting around the same time , there are some spectacular tree around , some you can’t believe that they have grown that way .

Wonderful shapes here, Paul - excellent sketch!

They're coming to get me!

A very classic work that skillfully utilizes black and white contrast to create a stunning spatial effect, while maintaining its delicate structure.

Nicely done Paul, unfortunately I hate snowy weather!

David , Anne Rod and Lea many thanks for your kind comments they are really appreciated.

Thanks Trevor you sneaked in while I was writing , well I love it , bit like a overgrown child , though I don’t play out in it anymore.

Thank you John and Romila I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment.

Nicely done. Great shapes and the white really pops against the grey.

Thanks Andrew I appreciate your comment.
