This is superb Paul.

Very well structured Paul. Love that dog and it a great lead in to the painting.

Looking good Paul. A great ‘save’ with the dog over your smudge…you’ve done the dog really well too.

Lovely rural view, and the dog is a nice addition.

A charming, busy country scene with the hills in the background- lovely place to live!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

Lovely recession in the hills Paul and I like the whole ‘working farm’ look.

Great result Paul in spite of your little accident. This has a charming, rustic feel to it.

I really like it especially the dog, great work !!

Fiona, Carole and Valerie thank you , I appreciate your comments .

Love your farm buildings Pauland your unintentional collie. Well saved.

Beautiful calm scene Paul, and good thinking to turn the smudge into a collie.

Val and Sandra thank you for your comments , desperation gets you thinking quickly, dark black how can I use that suddenly ah Collie will do the job. Wonder if it would have been a cauliflower if it was white, hhhhmmm , no .

Well saved Paul, the dog makes it!

The smudges worked a treat Paul, a lovely rural scene

Super little painting Paul and great narrative. I can really relate to this, having a farming background.

Lynda, Keith , Heather and Frank thank you for your very kind comments. I recall yiu saying that your from a farming background Frank , nice to hear that you can relate to this one, has a nice feel when someone say something like it invokes memories etc

Well painted Paul. You have handled a quite complicated composition very well indeed. I like the stone work.

Excellent scene Paul.

Lovely scene, very well achieved.

Thank you George , Denise and Carole for the kind comments.

Great farming scene and well done for rescuing your smudges- so easily done- the dog and shepherd have saved the day!

Thank you Christine and Maureen I appreciate your kind comments.

I wonder if the dog's name was 'Smudge'?! Nicely done Paul.

Thanks Trevor , the dog will forever be know as bloody thing , in polite company it will be Smudge .

Very neat and clean work. Realistic.

Thank you for your kind comment Sunil .

A4 watercolour, influenced buy a 1940s postcard of old farm building, I then added the background, tractor, shed and lastly the sheepdog in the foreground due to a smudge with acrylic paint. I thought it was done but unfortunately I had wet black acrylic on my hand and touch the paper where the dog is and the shepherd in the foreground. Managed to get it to look ok I’m pleased to say as I thought it was ruined not a great job but I’m ok with it .
