This is a charming, beautiful painting. The building with its warm roof against the cold snow, is rendered with great character. The bare-leafed trees are beautifully painted, stark, cold, well drawn.

A4 in A3 mount watercolour painting of an old barn set in a winter scene, partly inspired by a photo. Remind me of the stable/barn in the Christmas story, and how it might look before the first Christmas and the following years , left neglected to slow disappear. I thought the contrast of the tin roof would work well against the snow and sky . First painting I’ve completed in one day for a very long time.
