Lovely use of space and shapes. What a stunning weed!

Lovely watercolour, not my favourite weed but you've made it look beautiful.

Lovely, Paul - ( actually I always thought this weed was very attractive!)

That's super, Dixie. Good on you for seeing a painting in unlikely circumstances. Well painted.

As said Paul, what a great and well painted weed.

Beautifully captured Paul, and well said about what constitutes a weed. My garden is full of colourful ones!

Great title too!

A lovely watercolour of a beautiful weed. Amazing how many beautiful weeds are well worth painting Paul. Love the twisting of the stems and how you have merged the colours.

It’s certainly one of the more attractive residents in the garden Paul, gorgeous painting.

Many thanks Anne, Paul, Lew, Richard, Katy and Carole for your very king and encouraging comments.

Many thanks Fiona , I admire the one in the wild , not allowed in the garden , mind you the do look very nice on my neighbours compost area.

Very attractive watercolour, Paul. It looks 3D. Bindweed is a bind!…in the garden.

I think they are a an interesting weed I love them and your painting.

Thanks Marjorie and Anne for your much appreciated comments. They are a bind wherever they grow that you don’t want them too Marjorie, they are choking some of the pyramidal orchids we have growing on the grass chalk land area.

Love the painting and the story behind it. Truly the beauty is the eye of the beholder, and in every way - this is beautiful. :)

this is beautiful Paul

24x32 watercolour paper . Develop from a photo I took last week whilst clearing bindweed in the coppice area of the woodland. I cut a clump of weed and dropped it to start a pile and thought how nice it looked , photos and a quick pencil sketch at the time . So called weeds can look beautiful, I was once told by a professional gardener who has written several books , that a weed “is a plant that’s where you don’t want it a rose I the spud patch is a weed”.
