I like that misty look Fiona, it gives some aerial perspective to it which is vital. Your signature spikes grasses are nicely drawn also.

Thanks Alan, not enough aerial perspect in my opinion. Got carried away as usual slapping the paint on. Margaret, not a bird to be seen....unless you count a very old and tatty pheasant. But the grasses made up for it. Lots of butterflies though. Thanks very much for your comment.

12”x9” watercolour. Another view I managed to do from the other hide at the reserve last weekend. Very little water at the moment but the grasses look fabulous, all bleached by the sun to a gorgeous golden colour. It was bright sunshine when I did the first sketch but within minutes the low cloud and mist rolled in and the high tree line and the hills disappeared into the mist.
