Lovely Fiona, love your palette.

Delightful, such lively and dramatic marks.

Those are fantastic colours Fiona , and a lovely wild atmosphere captured

Excellent work Fiona and beautifully done.

Really good Fiona, love the colours.

Lovely mark making and colours

Wow - superb, Fiona!!

I like what you’ve done here with the branches and stuff, decent rigger work! I’m having difficulty sorting out the wood from the trees so to speak… I can’t quite see what’s what regarding an inlet!

I like it! Great colour palette and energetic mark making.

Beautiful Fiona- your sense of colour is superb, those Ochres and Blues…. Just gorgeous

Lovely work Fiona.

Fiona I was looking at Joan Eardley this afternoon and it came to mind that your images echo her work, or approach to painting. This is a good example.

Beautiful colours and love those tangly branches.

Great lively marks and lovely colours.

I think you’ve captured the wildness and rough nature of the area really well. I wouldn’t have known you used black mount board here, impressive coverage! I like it.

Like the idea of a black background Fiona, I wouldn’t have known but it definitely works, showing through in the undergrowth. Love it x

Has a wild and vibrant feel. Great markings

Thank you ever so much everyone for your generous comments and feedback, always welcome when I'm experimenting! John, thank you for your comments reference Joan Eardly, if there is a similarity it's an accident! lol. If I'm using acrylics whatever I do is a mess...... I panic, as it dries so quickly. I usually just use a cloth to spread it about and add a bit here and there with brush! Thanks again.

Like the colour palette and your spidery mark making - very effective.

No accident Fiona, it’s all the work and love you have put into your art. Otherwise what would be the point if art was just accidents and chance. You may well start with a disorder but then you bring that disorder into shape and form.

Lovely palette and marks, crazy sky. I like it very much

Like everyone else I love the colours you have used and I also like all the brush strokes

This is so beautiful Fiona. I love your bold mark making.

Hilary, Brian, Nicky, Cecilia, Spencer thank you very much for your lovely comments. You are very kind John thank you. There’s is one thing about my ‘system’ it makes a unique painting because I can’t for the life of me remember how I did it! 😂

Love it . I like the way you have made random marks have come together to form a beautiful landscape.

Thank you very much Mick, that’s very kind of you.

Once again I love the Painting Fiona.

George thank you very much!

12”x9” mixed media on black mount board. There are lots of these wild and overgrown inlets along the shores of the Cree Estuary in Galloway. Some without name but doing the job of taking the hill and field run off water, out to sea.
