Stand of Trees….Glenturk Lane

Average nice quickie Fiona, I like the immediacy of the whole thing.

Like that a lot!!

Lovely Fiona. I know what you mean about paper drying too quickly.

Dry nicely painted Fiona , and yes I’m struggling to paint , in fact do anything at the moment . One problem bid the paint drying to quick let alone trying to focus, keep safe in the shade.

Soeey Fiona spell check , very nice

Loose. Effortless. And shows your confidence Fiona. Nice one.

Well I’ve seen this one an hour ago and I’m still impressed! Quick but not slapdash… there’s a big difference!

😂 thank you Stevan! Thank you David, much appreciated. Thanks very much Val-Irene. Most of it was straight onto wet paper. It must be the quickest sketch I’ve ever done, it dried so quickly! I’m relieved I’m not the only one Paul, it seems such an effort. I thought watercolour has to be the quickest, easiest and most instant choice so I didn’t need to stand out in the sun for long!😂 thanks Paul.

I love this.

😂😂😂😂 I know what you mean Paul 😥 Chris, thank you for your very kind comment. Thanks Al! Not too many spikey bits either!

I do like this Fiona, the light shines through beautifully. I too am struggling with the heat drying my watercolour to quick. And I'm using flamboyant watercolour paper, though it would hold the water longer. But not so.

Very nice Fiona. Works lovely

Well done, Fiona for producing this lovely sketch in this weather - beautiful colours too! (I haven't the energy at the moment - but just thinking of ideas!)

Love blonde grasses…whole thing…is pretty excellent.

Denise, Lesley, Faye, Anne, Sylvia…..thank you ladies for your lovely comments and yes, it’s bonkers this heat. We will all beaver away when it cools down….hopefully for both! X

I love this and your colours Fiona. Yes it is hard as my painting room gets all day sun, I can’t settle and the blooming paint dries far too quick!

Like this a lot and agree with the others

Love this Fiona so light and summery. I seem to remember a time when you struggled to produce the greens you wanted - such progress. I too have given up trying to paint or do much else because of the heat.x

Great sketching in great weather & yes so hot. This one reflects the situation well Fiona

I do like this Fiona and I agree about the heat. I’ve been playing with pastels but workshop is too hot so catching up on the all the wonderful work on the gallery.

Carole, Michael, Heather, Carol, Jennifer, Willie Katy thank you all very much. Hope we can get back into the swing of it when it eventually cools down a little.

Love this one Fiona, some lovely greens.

Thank you David…..greens are my nemesis.

I like the energy you have captured in this painting- really good Fiona

Thanks Shaun! 👍

Gorgeous marks. I didn't like the heat much either and have done very little ...

Me neither Gudrun, we are heading for a cooling off period, hopefully. Thank you for your comment.

12”x12” watercolour and pen in watercolour sketchbook. Is it just me, is anyone else finding it difficult to pick up a brush in this heat? I haven’t done anything in days and this is all I could be bothered to do this afternoon. I didn’t go far, veg garden, this is a clump of trees across the back field. It has a few dead trees leaning at all angles in amongst the healthy ones, which catch the light beautifully. I had to soak the paper before I went out, just a quickie.
