Boats & Sails....(27)

Oh, I like that Fiona. Great idea and effect.

Love this. All lines are interestingly connected and disconnected and describe uplifting image to me.

Very creative and effective idea for a painting, Fiona - I really like this...

I really think the design of this is lovely.

Another great abstract. Great idea and execution.

This definitely works,Fiona. Colour and marks-wise(make sense?). Reminds me a bit of Ben Nicholson.

You really are very good at these abstracts Fiona. Love this one. As always I can see something human! Do you see the man in the centre with a white bag over his shoulder? Must be a sailor!

I have a Paul Klee print - " Harbour and sailboats" which it reminds me of, too.

Yes got it in spades Fiona

You’ve made me very happy.....I’m so relieved that you ‘see’ what I was trying to demonstrate. Thank you very much! Marjorie I’m a huge fan of Ben Nicholson, love his work. You have introduced me to another artist, Klee, I’ve heard of him but never looked at his work, like it! Michael, I see him! Thanks again.

That has worked so well, Fiona! Lovely.

Very imaginative Fiona, you are so good at interesting abstracts.

This is very creative and imaginative, Fiona and the colours are perfect - well done!

George, Lewis, Louise.....thank you very much for your positive comments.

This representational piece has worked so well Fiona, the impressions you have created of hulls and gulls certainly comes through to the observer and the choice of colours selected by you for this painting .Like it a lot .

Love the energy Fiona.

Graham, thank you so much for your wonderful and generous comment, I’m very grateful for your feedback. Sandra, thanks again, much appreciated.....hope you’re okay.

Lovely abstract painting, great idea!

Many thanks Simon.

Hang on Studio Wall

16”x14” abstract in oil and off-set carbon print on oil paper. I also used oil paint for the carbon printing. I was struck by the different shapes of hulls and sails at Garlieston harbour when viewed in a line, with all the ropes and rigging crisscrossing and intermingling with each boat.
