Lovely tranquil painting. Very clever of you not to go for too green grass as the muted tones you have used here work brilliantly with the autumn colours of the trees. Too often people paint autumn trees and then add very strong greens for the grass and hedges which ends up in a conflict between them. Lovely colours also in your distant hills.

A very nice watercolour , I like your treatment of the trees and the colours used, may I say Fiona that you don't need to paint like someone else , learn from all but be true to yourself.

Thank you all for your kind comments, they are very much appreciated. William, I would love not to copy other artists work, but I haven't really worked out my own style yet. Nearly every painting I do from either a still life or from photos etc turns out different! I'm desperate to develop a style, I know how I would like to paint, but............it's getting there isn't it. Patience is what I need I think, oh and quite a bit of talent!!!
