Very good watercolour Paul.

Great composition, Paul, and lovely fresh colours. Cracker for having a see-where-this-goes approach.

Really good Paul, well done.

I think it's an extremely good watercolour. A great result when, as you say, you had no idea what to paint. If this is fiddling around, keep fiddling.

A beautiful country scene, Paul - super!

It’s lovely work Paul, and I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t mean it! I could go into individual elements but the whole thing gels so well - and that palette is terrific!

A really nice style to this Paul. I really like it.

Well, what a surprise thank you all I really wasn’t expecting such nice comments. I think sometimes we work on something without really thinking about it and end up with something a bit decent, I did enjoy just adding things without really thinking, lot of basic mistakes but it’s worked.

A very appealing watercolour painting Paul.

It looks wonderful Paul.

It worked out very well Paul. I like that sense of background depth.

Thank you Carole , Denise and John I appreciate your comments .

Really special Paul, a lovely painting.

I like this one, a lovely feeling of light and distance behind the trees.!

I think this is excellent Paul - one of your best

Thank you Carole, Valerie and Heather I appreciate your comment

Beautiful, love that tree to the left 😍

This is really lovely. It shows what nice surprises happen when we think we have painters block.

This is lovely, Paul, appealing composition and colours. Often our best work just comes together when we’re not trying too hard! I especially like the way you’ve done the foreground.

Paul, this is Wondeful!

Faye , Bobbie, Jenny and Skylar, thank you for your comments each one is appreciated.

This is a lovely painting Paul, so well thought out. Great perspective.

Gill and Martin thank you for your kind comments.

Nice - I like views through trees like this.

A4 watercolour, started very wet in wet and progressively drier as it became warmer today . I had no idea what to paint today and couldn’t be bothered with work I have waiting to be finished, literally developed as it went along with no previous thought to how it would go . It was quite relaxing and better than doing nothing , can’t really call it a serious project, will fiddle around like this again.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
