Finished up nicely, Well painted Paul.

That is really good, Paul! I love your boat paintings!!

Thank you George and David for you comments I appreciate them. It will be the engineer in you David appreciating the structure of the boat and the work involved in building them it’s what attracts me to some degree.

Nice one. I like maritime paintings, but all those tricky hull shapes defy my hands. Good work here.

Good landing!

Very nicely done Paul.

It’s turned out really well Paul. Nicely painted.

Lew, Heather, Stephen and Christine many thanks for your kind comments I appreciate them . I do love the challenge of drawing the hulls and all the structures, the hull is the most difficult of all as a slight alteration can change the whole shape .

I've been seasick on a pedalo in the calm of the Med so you have my sympathies Paul. The painting turned out nicely - well done.

I really like this Dixie. Reminds me of a Cornish fishing harbour I once visited. Well painted with great detail work.

Love the lines and shapes Paul. Very well done.

I love this one , you are so good at these, fabulous!!!

Lovely work Paul, it turned out really well.

No doubt the catch was turned into Arbroath smokies, a favourite of my late husband. Lovely painting Paul.

Lovely painting, Paul - very nice boat!

Thank you all so much for your very kind comments I really appreciate them.

Watched this develop on the forum Dixie, and it’s very good with lots to see. I can imagine the fish being offloaded, good story.

Thanks Tessa I appreciate your kind comment.

Reminds me of my childhood when trawlers used to pull into Sutton Harbour next to the Plymouth Fish-market. Proper job as they say down yer.

Fabulous painting Paul, I love boats of every shape and size although I wouldn't know where to start trying to draw or paint one.

Linda , Russell and Martin thank you for your comments I appreciate them . Each to there own as they say Russell I would not know what to do with a portrait, other than throw it away shortly after starting. I have to get rid of it before the sitter noticed how awful it was and took their own revenge.

what a great scenery; i love it!

Nice one Paul, and boats are my favourite subject. Although I prefer wrecks! I like the way you've got the hull shape, well done

Thank you Trevor, I enjoy painting all types of ships and boats and derelict ships as well.

A4 watercolour in A3 mount of a Peterhead trawler in Arbroath fish docks . Inspired by a on line photo and adapted to tell the story. Decided I’ve done enough or I will fiddle around with it and ruin the painting. I do love doing maritime paintings but ten to shy away as I get fed up if ohh not another boat painting. Something about the shapes and the adventure of being at sea , unfortunately I would be very ill as I get terrible seasickness. You can see more info on the forum re the process .
