Lovely painting Paul, nice selection of greens

Great work, Dixie, and particularly eye-catching. It LOOKS old, with a long history. It's seen better days but you've brought it back to life with this rendition. Best Bri

Brilliant work on the bridge Paul. They are very interesting structures these bridges, and make wonderful subjects to draw and paint.

Thank you Chris , Brian and Fiona for your kind comments.

Dixie, this scene makes me want to let my dog have a paddle while I sit on my fold up chair and enjoy a mug of tea! You've captured the atmosphere and created a 'feel-good' factor....

Thank you John for your comment, I don’t recall anyone every say my painting wants then to sit and have a cuppa. I do understand what you mean , the place gives off that feel , but it was a long time ago since I was there.

Looks really fresh with cool colours paul

A4 watercolour on Blockingford rough paper . I visited this beautiful old bridge at Carrbridge in the 1980s and was impressed by its structure. Built in 1771 it’s the oldest in the area much of the damage seen was caused in the Muckle Spate a great flood in 1829 where much of Strathspay was flooded. Used a photos from online and artistic license.
