Fabulous narrative Paul to go along with your Super painting.

Splendid painting.

Thank you Chris, Stephen and Michael fir your kind comments. over the last twelve years Michael I have need to help clear up after snow about four time , once it snowed we were working and with in an hour it wasn’t foot deep. Most of the damage has been due to high winds , unfortunately the beech trees on thin soil over chalk are susceptible to toppling or dropping branches.

Lovely painting Paul. Nice story to go with it to. Your very good at your snowy painting. Lovely horse just a lovely painting 🖼

Thanks Faye , my snowy paintings are a bit different to yours . Hope she is not to scared tonight with all the fireworks.

Another fine painting full of interest, with an excellent back story.

Lovely painting Paul with and interesting story. Your horse is super.

Thank you Lew and Denise your comment are really appreciated. As I have said recently I only painted a horse for the first time a few weeks ago , two things seem to have happened, I have discovered a way to paint them that suits me , and I’ve actually developed a love of painting them . I’ve always loved horses and had the opportunity to ride and work with them as a youngster, that feeling is coming out in my paintings I think.

Yes, a well painted horse. Good background trees as well!

Another lovely painting of horses, Paul! An interesting background story too.

Thank you for taking the time to comment Louise and Ann.

Lovely painting Paul. Very good horse and like the misty background.

Lovely narrative painting, Paul, and beautifully drawn!

This is lovely Dixie, and the background story which makes it so real. Your drawing and painting of horses has developed amazingly in such a short time. You’ve really captured the power and bulk of the animal very well.

Love your imagination and that's one fine horse

Christine, Thalia, Tessa and Heather your comments are appreciated a lot. I don’t know what it is Tessa but I seem to have pick up on painting horses quickly for some reason, and love doing them .

Nice work Paul. Painting with a story..

Lovely, atmospheric painting Paul - and interesting narrative.

Excellent Paul, wonderful historical notes and painting. I enjoy your nostalgic subjects.

Thank you Fiona , I love doing the nostalgic stuff a lot, bring back memories etc .

Think I missed this one Paul. Very good and like the addition of the background figures.

Thank you Richard, I thought the figure would add to the scene , it actually what happened. We tended to get spread out working , when big branches or big bits of tree are coming down it best to keep well away. The ruling was keep three times the distance, you think where the tree will end up.

Very expressive.

Great job 👍

Thank you for your comment Alan much appreciated.

A 24x 32 cm watercolour . The imaginary scene is set in the 1930/40s on Coombe hill in Buckinghamshire, it’s a National Trust property where I have worked ax a volunteer Ranger . The story to the painting is a team of foresters and a horse logger clearing up after heavy snow. The large timber is taken to be stored for three or so year the cut up for seasoned fired wood . In the distance two of the team are burning off the brash, the branches , and damaged timber a job have done many time a time .
