Very creative and effective Alan like this very much indeed.

Magical indeed, it's really good Alan

So effective Alan. There’s much to be learned from this!

So creative and so good, Alan!!

This is so effective and eye catching, the white seems ultra bright due to the tinted paper. Another lesson in less is often more .

It is magical Alan and a lovely style.

Love it. The perspective is fantastic

Nicely done Alan 👍

Excellent interest for a simple sketch, much appreciated guys!

Everything raises u to the dome Marvelous as it is simple

Very impressive, Alan. Great scenery and perspective.

Very good - I like the pared back approach.

This works so well Alan. Now where did I put my gris sketchbook?

Really works so very well, Alan!

This is super Alan, amazing drawing skills. Really love the composition

Like the clarity and the light Alan.

Now who can this be, I thought..... Oh no I didn't! It's another Bickley, and couldn't be anyone else.

A super drawing Alan, excellent tone work, the chalk highlights are very effective and must have been very satisfying to add.

So effective. And I like the way some parts are stronger in details than other.

Great sketch, Alan, love your pen and ink work.

Love the shadows Alan.

Oh this is a little beauty once again 🙂

A great dramatic effect!

Absolutely gorgeous.

That's beautifully caught Alan. Great as ever..

This has so much atmosphere. I really like the way you've handled the white highlights.

Splendid piece Alan.

All the right lines in all the right places. So good.

Excellent, Alan. I love a brilliant sketch.

There’s just something magical about drawing with pen an ink on tinted paper, it tends to work so much better than on a white piece of cartridge… and it gives you the opportunity to apply a few white chalk highlights which can be used as your focal point. Pen and acrylic ink and wash. Quick sketch with no particular accuracy, concentrating more on strong tonal values. Strathmore A4 Toned Gray paper.
