A Quiet Cove near Abersoch.

A Quiet Cove near Abersoch.

Like the colours and marks, and the red figures.

Lovely, Alan. Wish I was there.

Yes !the colours and the figures.

That's a gorgeous blue you have there, Alan, and complemented by the subtle beach and figure colours. Great sunny scene!

I’m making an assumption Alan that it was a very bright day... purely on your cliff colours... knowing the Welsh coast line usually ochre and browns and greys . So as I said an assumption. It’s ages since I was in Abersoch...as you have shown it is a lovely place.

The colours in the rocks and sand are wonderful. I wish I was there now.

Sumptuous colours Alan, adding the touch of red on the figures looks great.

Thanks everyone, yes, I wish I was there also. My camera doesn't seem to be picking up subtle variations in colour as it should, I'll have another go at it shortly. Sylvia, obviously I am sat in my studio working on the colour choices, I was looking for strong contrasting colours to give impact, not the mundane accurate but often boring colours we see in reality. I don't care too much for reality!

No I know you don’t Alan...lol. I am a bit of a pedant. I still love the pic.

You have certainly created the feeling of being high up on those cliffs Alan with the small figures on the beach.

I especially like the figures Alan, brilliant touch.

A lovely view Alan, lovely colours and the figures add interest

I’m loving the green in your latest works Al, they look so right with the pink of the sand.

Hang on Studio Wall

20 x 40cm oil on board. Something worked up this morning from my sketchbook, it doesn't get any more simple than this! A great day to go out painting, but I'm having a bit of a break from plein-air stuff for a while.
