And a fine painting too Alan. I love the soft muted autumn colours you’ve used.

I can almost breathe the cool fresh air, lovely Alan.

A very fine Autumn morning it is too.

Simple but very effective.

Lovely painting, Alan. Love the autumnal colours.

Very effective Alan, I look forward to reading your article.

The beautiful, soft focus and limited palette gives your landscape a very natural, fresh appearance Alan.

As usual, a very effective painting, I particularly like the flush of warmth across the sky.

Excellent painting Alan and done to your usual very high standard . I like your choice of pallet, it certainly give the chill feel and look to the painting.

Another Hilderesque type of scene, very well painted.

They have been great examples of watercolour, Alan. Another gem here, love the muted colours.

Very nice Alan puts me in mind of Roland Holders work .

Love this, Alan - composition and muted palette.

Very effective Autumn morning in your style. Looking forward to the article in The Artist.

Superb Alan. Beautiful washes and contrasting tones.

Thanks I feel cold now. Beautiful painting and colours in the sky.

Is it snowing already up north? Lovely painting!

Another excellent watercolour Alan, love how you portray the trees. Superb!👍

Absolutely beautiful.

Soft and delicate watercolour Alan. Very lovely.

Great atmosphere with superb cool tones Alan.

Another lovely watercolour- and like the pink in the sky.

Thanks everyone, appreciated as always. It’s not snow! It’s autumn grasses…

Excellent, has such a pleasing atmosphere

Simply beautiful Alan.

Another absolute beauty Alan - your a master at these watercolours

Lovely watercolour Alan, it is Hilderesque certainly, but there isn't the preponderance of black sometimes seen in Rowland Hilder's work. Not that I mind that of course. I certainly like this for its own qualities. Regards John

The last of my current watercolour series, for a while anyway. I’ve had some lovely comments, so thank you. This one was painted using W&N Professional Synthetic brushes. I have a test report on these and their new Synthetic Hog range which is scheduled for the next edition of The Artist (December). This painting will appear in my report. Cotman watercolours on W&N 300gsm Cold Pressed (NOT) 11 x15in
