Great stuff Alan so many interesting features and texture

wow Alan, so much detail and texture.. it's lovely :)

You&#39;ve got a really lovely mix of shades and textures in the castle walls which seem to change with the lighting. A great sense of scale with the town houses to either side and I like the position of the monument, it gives a lead in to the painting. It has a more subdued feel to it compared to your last couple of postings, was this an intentional decision or did it just evolve this way.<br />Your castle paintings are building up into a superb collection Alan!

Thank you Dennis, Maria, and Fiona, yes Fiona, it was always intended to be more of an architectural drawing rather than dramatic, but I couldn&#39;t resist adding a touch of drama to the sky.

Nice work Alan you love the dramatic stuff and it works perfect

Glad you added the drama of the sky - it really makes it .

Exciting work Alan. Very good!

I like the wild colours and the even wilder sky!

Another cracker in your castle series Alan, I&#39;m waiting to see Stirling Castle now :)

I&#39;m running out of superlatives, Alan! This has so much depth and layers, it&#39;s truly a piece de resistance.

Difficult architecture to paint. Love the shadow on the building but I would have liked to see more work on the right side verticals.
