Absolutely love the sky Alan. It has such movement, and the colours are great. I think the way you have painted the sail/building area works extremely well - that red and faded pink are brilliant.

I like the warmth in the clouds, which links to the colours in the sails, contrasting with all the variety of blues. Beautiful.

Another sky study concentrating on cloud formation and colour. All my current series on skies have been painted using reference from my daily sketchbook studies from life, some in just 6B carbon pencil with colour notes, many in watercolour. Studio painting reference my sketchbook. Oil on Belle Arti board 40 x 50cm.
