Towards Sandon Church, the Rectory and the Blackhills.

In total contrast to my last watercolour snow scene, and back to my favourite medium again. I’ve drawn in the church as a simple negative shape, with just a light shadow falling on the mellow stone work. The splash of colour on the farmhouse was added to balance the composition and act as a second focal point, something that can work if you get it just right! Small at 20 x 50cm and a rapid painting in traditional oils on Talen’s premium canvas board.
