Certainly one my favourite subjects, these magnificent barges are a delight to paint and draw in any medium. Totally from imagination this one, I’ve never had the pleasure of sailing on one of these vessels, but I’ve been up close and made many studies of them over the years. First one of a series of nautical themes that I’m currently working on. Oil on Jackson’s canvas/MDF board 40 x 50cm.
