A wonderful example (and a lesson for me) in achieving the correct tonal balance Alan. Along with a focal point and simple but measured application of brush strokes. A wonderful winter scene full of atmosphere.

A simple snow scene which is the view from down my lane, with the old red brick barn helping to give the composition a focal point. I’ve painted it numerous times of course in most medium, but thought I’d add a touch of snow this time, something we don’t see so much of these winters! Oil on MDF 20 x 20in.
