Perfect subject on your doorstep Alan and well executed,

Great shadows Alan, bet they will want this painting.

Thanks Derek and Carole, it was only a quickie while the sun was out, yes Carole, I mounted it for her and she was thrilled.

Those dark shadows make it Alan and really emphasise the light.

Didn't recognise this as one of yours at first Alan but up to usual standard as alwaysl - some interesting shapes and shadow lines - I can see why it appealed to you.

Love this Alan great graphic work and so much more.

Lucky neighbour, to recieve this as a gift from you Alan, and also to live in this charming cottage. Beautiful light, crisp shadows and the detail of the brick work is excellent. I can imagine that this was quite a relaxing piece to do.

Different from your sweeping landscapes, but I love your approach to this completely different subject. Lovely rendition of textures and light. Super piece, Alan!

I like the contrast between the more formal lines of the building and the free loose marks representing the trees and plants.

Mixed media on Turner Grey paper 11 x 15''. En Plein Air, sketch done yeasterday of part of my neighbour's cottage. I was inspired by the dark shadows falling onto the building.
