I’ve got another one of these natural linen boards, I’ll paint straight onto the buff coloured surface next time…

I love the colours and it almost feels abstract which makes me delve deeper to find out more.

Excellent work Alan. The burnt sienna looks to be a good choice.

Early stages. although I will be keeping it very loose. Oil on a Loxley natural linen board, quite a coarse weave which is showing through, something that I like to see. I could have kept the natural linen colour as my ground, but decided to use a thin wash of burnt sienna instead. 40x50cm.
