A lovely garden scene leading to that mysterious door!

A lovely painting Tessa, very harmonious.

Very nicely done Tessa!

Love you leading us down the garden path Tessa, to the unknown, amongst the lovely tangle of foliage and flowers.

Love this painting, just beautiful !

Beautifully painted garden Tessa. I bet not many people as old as me on here will remember Frankie Vaughn singing ‘ The Green Door’!

oh this is sooo beauty!

Love those hostas Tessa

I like this. Such paths always lead us to a point of interest.

Oh, this is so good Tessa, like the composition, the viewpoint, the colour palette and, of course, that very intriguing door at the far end

Thank you all so much. Always great to have such positive comments which mean a lot. Carole, yes I do remember the song. Hadn’t thought of it before, but now of course I can’t get it out of my head!

I love a walk along the path and imagine what is beyond , excellent piece Tessa.

This is fabulous Tessa, strange how a closed door stirs the imagination.

Lovely painting Tessa, great composition.

Lovely Tessa.

Terrific work Tessa, lots of skill on show here!

Many thanks all, much appreciated.

Great stuff. Narrow alleys is my passion to photograph. Not skilled enough to paint them though!

Beautiful Tessa. A great array of greens. ( my nemesis )

This is very good Tessa. The flowers make the painting sing.

This one sings! Love the violet against the green.

Thanks so much Rod, Val, John and Hilary! x

Approx A3 oil on mdf board. Idea from my Cotswold Gardens book from a photo of the garden at Stowell Park , Yanworth. If I see a painting with a path and a gate or door like this I always wonder what’s on the other side, so I hope you do too!
