A very good portrait Heather, you can feel her presence and personality through her gaze. Also, I do like the positioning of her, somehow it ‘s more intimate…two more things - love that detail on the blouse and lovely to see some of your work again!

It feels very natural, she's got expression, the beautiful marks of time... The asymmetry in the eyes keeps me bouncing from one to the other. Super work, Heather!

50 x 40 cm oil. Nikki used to be a model hence the wonderful bone structure and why I was drawn to paint her. She is part of my art group and is a very talented painter so it was a bit daunting to say the least!

Heather Love

I started to paint in 2018 . I started with acrylics and now use only oils and mainly canvas on board. Most of my portraits are 38 cms x 60 cms or thereabouts. Am still on a big learning curve but really enjoying the process and discovering new techniques very step of the way! I go to art class…
