It never does but that's a real beauty Fiona

Vibrantly different and interesting.

Nice composition and beautiful drawing of poppies and pods.

I thought I’d have a catch up with POL this evening and this jumped off the page! I love the subject, colours and composition. It’s a beauty Fiona!

Love the quirky composition and the unusual colours Fiona. Very skilfully done.

Most unusual, very eye-catching and attractive Fiona. Nice work.

Lovely colours and a great design Fiona.

Are you sure your not in your blue period?...very nice though..

Lovely poppies, Fiona, an eye-catching treat for the senses. I particularly like the flimsy petals and how the muted colours actually add to the overall effect. A welcome touch of madness. Gorgeous! Bri

Love the design and wonderful shapes! This is sooo interesting, a success, and the color palette adds to this unique beauty!

Wonderful un poppy colours...a happy painting. Whatever your intentions were .

Very effective.

Something a bit different Fiona, you've taken some time on this piece and a worthwhile result.

This is different, Fiona - love the colours and bold composition - the Quink works really well with the blues.

Lovely composition and colours Fiona. Looks as if it was fun to do and has worked really well :)

That's so beautiful Fiona, at first I thought it was a sculpture it's so well painted it's almost 3D, great work, love it 😀

Blimey, thank you.....I nearly didn’t post this. It took ages and that means to me, I’ve over done it, it’s suddenly growing on me....lol. Jenny, the blue is quink ink as well, both the colours are blended with different strengths of watered down Milton. The green is the blue and black quink mixed with a little watered Milton. Thank you again everyone.

Only just found this Fiona. It is beautiful and I love the colours you have produced with the different inks. Well done.

Well Fiona, there you were telling me you can't paint flowers!!!! This is marvellous and I absolutely love the colours, it's fab!

love your experimentation with different media Fiona you are improving your technique each time I look

Well that's different for you Fiona but it's a real cracker. The colours are lovely and work so well together.

12”x10” Black and blue Quink ink, Indian ink, Milton and the odd dot and dash of oil pastel. I must have drawn this out in the summer during that spell of poppy madness, but can I remember what I had intended to do with it. I’m sure it wasn’t this.....
