Alas, poor Shaun....but what symbolism in this Still Life....memento mori.....new life.....the candle(?).....we could go on and on....ha ha! Glad you're enjoying it Fiona.

Lol! I love the title! More importantly, it's a great piece, with beautifully subtle tonal shifts and a gorgeous palette.

Wonderful still life, Fiona! I truly like the collection of objects beautifully arranged including Shaun. It reminds somewhat of a Georgia O'Keeffe.

I remember a Shaun from school ... I still have the pencil drawing. Perhaps I ought to put him on display to see if I have improved! This, however, is great Fiona.

I think your enjoyment really shows in your work Fiona. The way you use the pastels is fascinating to me as a non pastel user. I absolutely love the colours and shadows on the skull...its wonderful.
