Fiona! What a triumph! Tones, shapes, colours and ELIPSES - perfect ELIPSES! The metal cup is spot on, the knobbly apples true to life (but painterly) and everything else brilliant. You've got to be pleased with it.

As you can tell I'm a big fan of colour so I absolutely love this Fiona. Those daffs are beautiful.

You could crop this and make three good paintings out of one, as each object is painted so well. Nice use of the bright complimentary colours, and as Marjorie noticed, the ellipses are near to spot on.

24"x16" oil. After all the last few weeks at oil class working only in black and white....and everyshade inbetween the two, it's wonderful to paint in colour! That is a statement I never thought I would utter, as I love the more muted, earthy hues.
