I don't know Seago's work but this super painting and the super sky and light "stands alone" if you know what I mean !

Thank you x Thanks Marjorie, the distant village is just dots and dashes really, I didn’t make any conscious marks apart from what is suppose to be a church tower . 16”x14” oil on paper. Having admired Alan Bickley’s interpretation of Seago’s painting style recently, it inspired me to have another look at his fabulous work. It’s a made up scene but based on his favourite elements….big skies, low horizons with distant villages and rough fenland foregrounds.
