You do yourself a disservice by suggesting you're not very good at animals, Fiona. This is great - loose but with plenty of character - he looks as though he knows something we all don't! Do some more!

Wonderful - you have got that intense look that they give you absolutely spot on. Also all that achieved with just some pencil lines and a few brush strokes of colour - really well done!

Ferrets are just wonderful - I've only known a few, but was completely captivated by them. You've got this one - the broad head and surprisingly large gap between the eyes, the wary intelligence - very well done. You said all that needed to be said with a commendable economy of means. Of course you could have developed your drawing, but you just didn't need to, and what's more you didn't: wish I always had that self-discipline, to stop when you've just gone and said it.

Don't do yourself down Fiona, this is a lovely simple little painting with a few well chosen brush marks that show off this 'cheeky little chappies' character admirably. I love it.
