Christmas Competition…image 1

Comments

It's a dancing penguin, he's in the middle and the marks around him are from the long exposure from the camera catching all the movement.

The first of four images for the competition, tell me what you see? I’m posting four so you might catch at least one of them before they disappear, all your names will go into Santa’s hat to be drawn at Hogmanay. You can zoom, turn the image to get different viewpoints etc……I know you have great imaginations, some of you off the scale on that one. Anyone owning up to taking hellucinogenics (Michael) will be disqualified, alcohol is permitted….in fact it’s mandatory! Good luck and think of how you would like to spend the princely sum of £20! Lol.

The first guess to Jennifer, you’re quick off the mark! That’s one I didn’t see…..

Rotated 90 degrees clockwise, I see an octopus. Rotated 180 degrees, I see a shocked monkey next to a fox with long legs!

I see the microscopic workings of an autumn leaf and they know it's Christmas, so they are partying to Wizard.

A lighter coloured shape top right region - a dangerous haggis type creature with webbed feet, balanced on a tree branch. I’ll crop it if you can’t see it!

First glance I see,Chinese Kung Fu, fighting dragons, long necked dragons, almost giraffes, and many spears or saws..lol

Helen, the main shape for me was the giant octopus, upside down it is a flamboyant flamenco dancer, the fox I got and also there is a sheeps head. Yes Denise, turned the other way I see a bindweed flower, but get the microscopic link. Who me Michael?! 😘 Is your Haggis playing the Bagpipes Alan…..mine is!

Excellent Fiona, I spotted a Alien climbing on the right side of the painting half way up. A dark blue grim reaper, and just in front of the sickle a skull. Along the bottom a samurai warrior with his sword sticking in the back of a peasant. There are more but let others find them . It a bit addictive keep looking back every so often.

Absolutely he it, forgot to mention those wonderful sounding instruments!

You are spot on about the wild day here, had to collect a few items of washing from the field next door! I can see your bear! It has its bottom facing us, no sign of the Koala bear though……think I need another half glass. I see the dragons they were on my list too Lesley!

I think the whole image is an alien Paul…😂 some great spotting you’ve done…..I see the samurai with the sword now you’ve pointed it out. Alan there is half a Lochness monster underneath the Haggis, it isn’t playing the pipes though!

Has to be a Scottish theme somewhere and I think on the RH side there is Nessie. Also one Scottish City will have a Big Wheel, middle top. Bottom left could be a Dachshund wearing a mask ! Surely not !! As you said time for a mandatory drink.😀

Hi Fiona. That’s interesting! To me is an enlarged microscopic amoeba sending out its tentacles to envelope and eat anything enticing in its path and sucking them into its mouth. Gosh! Does that sound like I’ve had one to many drinks already!

Turning the image upside down I see a brown parrot like bird sat on a nest in an impenetrable thicket, the bird has white tail feathers. Below to the left there is a half eaten slug, and in front of the bird is a mushroom on it's side, probably a magic mushroom 🍄🦜🐛🐌

Spectacular!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of fish swimming in and out of a giant octopus's tentacles, nessie and, unsea related, an angel. When I stand on my head it's tree roots, a dog, 2 pine martins, a duck and several birds, but I'm struggling to drink my brandy!

Has to be dancing reindeer, enjoying themselves after a hard nights work.

Richard, a Haggis has been spotted and Nessie from Lochness and maybe there are a couple of Kelpies lurking about! Spencer that is very imaginative, perhaps you should have just a wee bit more water with your next one! 😂 David, perhaps the parrot has half eaten the slug, then moved on to the mushroom. Are you sure you’ve turned the picture and it isn’t the parrot that is swinging upside down? Lol Thank you David S……you obviously have more sense! 😂 Val, at the end of your list I was expecting to read…and a partridge in a pear tree! Lol you’ll drown, not to mention spill a fine spirit!

Hah...I bet you thought you had us all fooled. The main shape is a hippo wearing a tutu with a sporran, it one hand she has a mars bar with chips and the other hand is trying to post a letter into the mouth of a very tall guardsman that she's mistaken for a letter box. If you look REALLY carefully you can see the label on her tutu...she got it from McGonnicles in Glasgow by the Sea. (OK, you've got me...I can't see anything. So don't put this in your jam jar...unless, of course, I'm DEAD right!)

Fiona, lots to look at, but the first thing I saw, bottom centre, is a horse lying down sleeping - a perfect horse’s head to the left!

Love it. What have I missed??? Moose to the left and LLama to the the right, boar in the middle.

I see octopus 🐙 tenticals in the middle of page. I see a whale head. I see coral. I see an exploded chicken 😪 and a snowman face middle top left. Lovely painting 🖼

It's a giraffe made of seaweed, conducting an unruly set of seaweed choristers.

You lot just can't see it! It's Rudolph on a bad hair day - and that's after just 2 glasses of wine!

Hippo’s, horses, moose, still can’t see this elusive Koala, explosive chicken….that might explain the feathers…..chorister’s and if it’s Rudolph, does that mean I won’t be getting any presents..😢😩 I don’t think I’ve had enough to drink yet….I’ll try harder! 😵‍💫

Turkey on the right - falling figure in the centre!!!

It’s Santa’s sleigh crash landed in a tangle of hooves and antlers!

I like your seasonal ideas Shaun! Christine that would explain why I haven’t had a visit from Santa this year…..glad it isn’t because I’ve been a naughty girl! Lol.

I agree with Marjorie that it's a reindeer - it has 2 antlers and a rather fat belly...

I can see a Child on horseback , gnarled tree roots, an octopus, small fish, orange marbles ,and a toboggan. Also mushrooms Fiona.

Jan, I think there may be a few of those fat bellies about at the moment! Gillian, have you been at the Sherry? Lol

I'm a simple soul... I just get a couple of peacocks displaying (with some octopus ink thrown in for good measure!) Great challenge Fiona, thank you!

It's a Moose on the loose and it's a very windy day. I see his antlers, eyes and long rather pointy nose. He looks a bit dangerous and I wouldn't like to meet him!

The moose was the main image I saw Sarah! There’s a moose, loose, aboot the hoose ! 😂 it has tinsel and lights on his antlers Louise!
