That is a lovely painting of a barn owl, Paul. Full of action!!

Interesting painting for you Paul....like it.

A beauty of a painting Paul

Love how you’ve managed to convey movement here Paul. A very impressive owl.

Thank you David, Sylvia, Stephen, Spencer, Heather and Carole for you very kind and encouraging comments. It’s rewarding that you all like it as it my first attempt at what I would call a loose painting of a owl . I’m finding the rough paper a challenge but great fun and a big learning curve as well. I do love owls , tawny’s in particular but admit barn owls look so beautiful.

This is really lovely Paul and has an energy to it.

Thank you Vivienne and Denise for you kind comment and taking the time to look at my painting.

Excellent painting Paul.

Yuan you Denise for you comment it really appreciated.

Very good barn Owl in flight Paul. I always struggle with Owl faces unlike you !!

Thanks Richard , I did find the face on this one more difficult due to the rough paper, I normally use a lot smother one for painting owls etc.

A terrific painting of your Owl in flight Paul.

Very nice pose and delicate use of colours 😀

Steve and Chris many thanks for you kind comments .

Nice one Paul!

I can almost see the field mouse cowering below. A lovely painting Paul.

A4 watercolour on 200 g 100% cotton rag paper . This is my second attempt at using this very rough paper, certainly not suitable for detail work . Seems to work well for landscapes etc . I will continue experimenting with it and try different things.
