Swan Lake by Paul (Dixie) Dean

Beautiful, so very delicate Paul.

Lovely white on white Paul

Interesting experiment, Dixie. Look forward to seeing how this technique develops.

The use of white brings out the swans head and a feeing of cold

As beautiful as the ballet Paul.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments. I think it will only work in a misty scene Lew, thought I of trying boat or a barn in fog/mist.

Delicate and pure

Love the whiteness and the yellow / black beak,

A4 watercolour using a little paint and as few colours as possible, done as an experiment. I was looking at some photos of swans on cold frosty mornings and thought I would like to try painting one , the white is the paper. Might try developing the technique a bit more with other subjects.
