Really well-observed detail of the tug, with lovely clear washes. Nicely done, Paul.

Like a lot Paul.

Wonderful colours in this Paul, the blues against the brickwork. Eye catching scene.

Like that a lot, Paul!!

Thank you Seok, Sylvia, Denise and David for your kind comments. I wax a bit worried about all the red of the bricks , and it a bit brighter thst I normally paint, so thanks Denise for picking out the colours.

Great imagination Paul and thanks for the narrative which always proceeds your excellent paintings.

Very nice indeed Paul, like all the rustiness and earthy colours

Super painting Paul, and nice to have the information to set the scene.

A tired old workboat well painted and great information to go with it.

Paul, the King of Rust ! Great and very good buildings, good choice of reddish colours with your usual narrative.

Great subject Paul, you’ve handled a tricky subject really well!

Lovely painting Paul. Lovely shading and rust on the boat. Fab imagation 👍

Many thanks , Chris, Heather , Fiona, Lew, Richard , Alan and Faye for your kind comments. I did start to worry that it could be overworked, but I do love those old dockside buildings. The funnel on the tug looks like it was added post war as they were originally straight for both cold fired and Diesel engine ships. I think I achieved the dilapidated look that i wanted .

Love the detail on the buildings, it’s excellent.

Thank you Carrie, your comment is appreciated.

The colours work really well together lovely painting the

Louise thank you for your kind comment, it’s really appreciated.

Great depiction of a what many might call a rusting hulk, but we know it better as Progress with a rich history as a HMRT. I particularly like your harbour buildings and the narrative Paul.

Thank you for your comment Brian it’s much appreciated.

And thanks to you Paul for the nice comments on some of my older paintings :)

Your welcome Louise, your art work is excellent.

A 30.5 x22.5cm watercolour on 300gsm paper. Imaginary scene of a ex rescue tug awaiting the Acetylene cutter , this style of tug was built in WW11 for the Royal and US navy. Referred to as HMRT ( His Majesty Rescue Tug ) by the RN and ART (Armed Rescue Tug) by the USN. , many were sold off after the war and were used by tug companies throughout the world. This painting is based on Progress a tug that was scraped in Norwich in the late 1970s I don’t know of it’s previous name or history.
